The Roberto Capucci Foundation defines the actions of year 2008/2009 on training and on teaching, hence setting up a project that joins the initiative of training seminars with the activities of the Foundation Museum.

The objective is to establish a direct relationship with new generations who are favoured by the Foundation's mission and to strengthen this relationship by enhancing the archive heritage of the Foundation.

The exhibition on the Foundation Museum is intended for the search and the analysis of lines and shapes devised by the Maestro in an selection of creations starting from 1950, with a course of study that conducts up to the 12 “Architectural Clothing” made for the 1995 Venice Biennale.
30 pieces are exhibited divided by groups: the “Box Design Line”, the plastic group, the brass group, overlapping, braiding, the group of the first overcoats and first night dresses.

The exhibition is accompanied by a series of images exhibited in the Temporary Exhibition Hall; the images were taken by photographer Fiorenzo Niccoli who was the most loyal among the Maestro’s reporters: he followed Capucci with continuous and constant admiration since the mid 70s. «The consideration and trust that I give to Niccoli is indestructible» affirms Capucci «and I dedicate him a place in my museum with pleasure».

The nature of the training seminars is to deepen specific topics that are suited to the world of school and to whom is already committed to work. The structure of the seminars is characterized by theoretical and practical interventions, alternated in a dynamic manner, by statements from outstanding figures, laboratory visits, specialized working centres and by practical laboratory activities.
The first two seminars are held in Limonaia conference halls at Villa Bardini. The subjects discussed are “Plisse” – October 23/25 2008 – and “Colour: the colour and shape in contemporary fashion” – November 20/22 2008.
The extraordinary participation of Roberto Capucci among the lecturers qualifies and determines the uniqueness of the occasion.
